- Member, Association of Oral Health Therapists Singapore
Dylan is a dual-qualified Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist, registered under the Singapore Dental Council with an expanded scope of practice. He is a member of the Association of Oral Health Therapists (Singapore) and is committed to delivering inclusive, patient-centric care grounded in evidence-based practice.
He holds a Diploma in Oral Health Therapy and completed a 1.5-year clinical attachment across several national institutions, including:
• The Health Promotion Board (HPB)
• The School Dental Service (Mobile Dental Clinic)
• The National University Centre for Oral Health, Singapore (NUCOHS)
These placements provided Dylan with extensive experience in both public health and clinical dentistry, particularly in managing paediatric patients and community-based care.
Dylan provides a comprehensive range of dental treatments with a special interest and strong clinical focus in periodontal care, especially non-surgical periodontal debridement (gum treatment). Known for his precision, gentle technique, and thoroughness, Dylan is passionate about helping patients manage and stabilise gum disease, restore oral health, and maintain long-term periodontal wellness.
He also has a keen interest in behavioural dentistry, especially in managing dentophobic patients, and applies the Stages of Change Model to help them gradually build trust and confidence in their dental care journey.
To stay current with evolving technologies and patient needs, Dylan has undergone additional training and upskilling in:
• 3D Intraoral Scanning (Certificate of Competency)
• Dental Care for People with Special Needs
• Dental Aesthetics Workshop (Certificate of Attendance)
He also contributed to the clinical research study, “Perceived Quality of Life Among Oral Health Therapy and Dental Students,” which has been published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Oral Health, the International Journal of Dental Hygiene, and indexed in the National Library of Medicine. This reflects his commitment to academic development and the advancement of oral health care through research.
Beyond clinical practice, Dylan volunteers with HealthServe, providing oral health support to Singapore’s migrant worker community. Internationally, he has participated in humanitarian dental missions, delivering free dental care to underprivileged communities in Batam, Myanmar, the Philipines, and Chiang Mai.
Dylan’s practice philosophy is rooted in empathy, education, and prevention. He strives to create a safe and respectful space where every patient feels heard and receives care tailored to their individual needs by helping them achieve not just better smiles, but better overall quality of life.
